Free Comedy Show Tickets?! Pleasant Surprise!

So, my boss was purchasing his tickets for the Dana Point Food, Wine and Music Festival yesterday and after his purchase he was notified by Eventbrite of free tickets to the Irvine Improv!  He forwarded the email and I got to wondering whether it would be worth it or not.  I felt like maybe they would have under-par comedians that I wouldn't want to see whether the tickets were free or not.  Or, on the upside, it would be a delightful surprise of a humorous comedian line-up.  I figured I had free time anyway, so why not give it a try?!



The event details were described as follows:

We are offering FREE TICKETS for Tues June 17th at The Irvine Improv Comedy Club at 8pm!

The show is called "Hot Comedy Action" and regularly features the BEST comedians in stand up (all professionals, no amateurs), most of whom you'll recognize from TV such as: Comedy Central, Chelsea Lately, MTV, Showtime, HBO, Late Night TV (Conan, Letterman, etc), SNL, Major Sitcoms, & More!

To my surprise I received an email today from Hot Comedy Action informing me that Michael Yo (from CBS's "The Insider" and E!'s Chelsea Lately) would be headlining with Nick Guerra, Last Comic Standing Finalist, hosting.  

Now, I am definitely excited to see the show tonight. I went to check out Michael Yo's twitter and saw that he re-tweeted who else would be performing tonight.  (Lineup includes: Michael Yo, Nick Guerra, Shaun Latham, and Kristen Key).

I'll follow up tomorrow with my review.
