Monday turned out to be a good day gone wrong! I woke up excited Monday morning because it was back to the routine: work, home, quick change, starbucks, loud obnoxious singing/jam session as i smash the freeway to school, class, dinner, nightly duties and sleep! But, for me unfortunately it was not in my future for that Monday evening. Instead, I opted for a big ole' black rubbery, can't drive no where, flat tire.
Just what I needed to start the day I so anxiously waited.
shit happens right? keepin' it positivooooo

What's going on in Egypt?!
There seems to be a lot going on around the world these days............
The people of Egypt are in protest to call an end to their current President Hosni Mubarak's almost thirty year term. They seem to be upset with the way their government operates and want their voices to be heard. The protesters were submitted to their internet and mobile services being cut off in "certain" parts of Egypt. According to WSJ Blog :
Vodafone Group CEO Vittorio Colao said “Egyptian authorities” had asked the company to “turn down the network totally.” Mr. Colao said Vodafone determined that the request was legitimate under Egyptian law, and therefore complied with the request.
They were also ordered to comply with a nationwide nighttime curfew. As far as I know President Hosni Mubarak does not plan on stepping down. Many have been injured, about 8 have died.
While some people are protesting for democracy others are abusing this time to rob banks and spread unwanted harmful chaos, including fires.
I wish them the best and hope they find some peace.

Thrifty-Sunday on a beautiful day in January
Happy Sunday people! So last night I was up until the wee hours of the morning obsessing and becoming inspired by tons of style/decor/fashion blogs that I knew instantly I had to start one of my own! After last nights inspirations I woke my deep sleeping a** up as early as I could (give me a break 9am is my early) and headed straight to a garage sale, Old Tustin Flea Market, and ended my diggins' at the OCC Swapmeet! Although I wasn't up and at em' early I still managed to find fabulous items!!!!
My first stop...garage sale....#totalfail. You win some, you loose some. lol.
1. Vintage German Army First Aid Messenger Bag @ Old Tustin Flea Market.
(....stay tuned to see me rock it with my newly purchase combat boots!!! I have seriously worn them nonstop.)
After, making my rounds I didn't think I would fine anything else. It also didn't help that my Chai Tea Latte was about to run right through me and the only public restroom...you guessed it, a porter potty! Not that I have a problem with porter potties but damn really did not want to use it. Anways thank god I did because I wouldn't have stuck around to find the next amazing addition to my accessory collection!
2. Swarvoski Crystal Leopard Ring @Old Tustin Flea Market
Once I purchased these two items my work was done and I was on my merry way to see what I could find at the OCC Swapmeet.
My goal for the OCC Swapmeet was to find a book on sewing for beginners because duh! I want to learn! lol....unfortunately I didn't find a sewing book but I did find.....
3. The Secret Language of Dreams: A VISUAL KEY TO DREAMS AND THEIR MEANINGS By: David Fontana
So I thought my trip was over until I heard a lady holler in spanish whatever I could find on the table was $1. Boy did I search that area up and down and of courseee i found.....
...this concludes my finds!! Till next time!
